After struggling through my teenage and young adulthood years with either very poor or no
therapeutic support, I decided to be the person I wish that I had at that age: someone who
would see and accept me as I am while supporting me to make the things that I wanted to be
better. As a licensed mental health counselor associate, I have nearly two decades of
experience working with teenagers and young adults. While much of my work has been in
schools, I have been working in telehealth the last couple years and love the flexibility it
provides. Part of the uncomfortability of therapy is having to share your raw self, which can be
a lot less scary behind a screen. I provide individual counseling to teenagers and young adults
and am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I specialize in anxiety and depression, general stress,
neurodiversity (ADHD and Autism), body and image concerns, self-esteem, self-harm, and life
transition challenges (what this age is all about!).

Clients describe me as loving, kind, welcoming, and that I really make them feel comfortable.
Too often, clients talk about how they don’t feel like they fit in and that people don’t understand
them. I am here to create a relationship with you in which you feel comfortable and supported in
taking on the challenges of life. I will help you to recognize and utilize your own strengths –
even if you don’t think you have any. I am well-versed in the multitude of changes that
adolescence and young adulthood bring and can help support you through these changes using
a holistic approach. I want to hear your story, get to know you, what your dream life would look
like, and how far off reality is, even if that’s something you’re still figuring out. I use CBT
(changing the way you think about something), mindfulness, and finding and participating in
activities that you enjoy – whatever that may be. More than anything, I’m here to accept you as
you are while supporting you in being your best self.

With Love,

Julie
